Those plus Onkyo, Denon etc how is one supposed to wire them? i realised they come as just one item - the receiver; unlike a home theater. And the complete ones are in excess of $1,000plus. What kinda speakers do they require…
You can use floor standing or bookshelf speakers; I prefer the former. Brand names are legion: jbl, infinity primus, Sony, onkyo, KEF, whaferdale, pioneer, kenwood, etc.
Do such speakers or speaker setup include a subwoofer?
Of course, some even allow for two subwoofers. like 7.2, 6.2 configurations.

Those brands or manufacturers make both ordinary speakers as well as subwoofers.
