All too often, we are bombarded with the ‘vote wisely’ mantra, especially when an election is approaching. However, the reality is normally very grim and hopeless. In most cases, you find that the five candidates contesting for the MP position are all shady, visionless, greedy and imbecilic. So, how will ‘voting wisely’ make any different? How can you have five plates of rice mixed with maggots and then you tell me to make a ‘wise, lunch decision’ in picking one of the plates?
How can you vote wisely if all the candidates reek of corruption and filthiness?
We need a serious moral revolution in Kenya. Our politicians are a mirror reflection of just how the society has become corrupted.
When voting, don’t attempt to vote for the ‘best candidate’ because they don’t exist. Vote for the least devious charlatan and don’t have a lot of expectations from him/her. Or even vote for the most humorous. Or the most buffoonish. At least he will be providing some rare entertainment when he occasionally graces the news. If all of the candidates contesting the senatorial seat are corrupt, you can just take that ballot and instead of marking it, just draw some cartoon and slip it into the box . I, for instance, can’t bother voting for a woman rep. Never.
Many Nairobians had high hopes that Kidero would transform the city but his performance is wanting, his corporate sophistry notwithstanding.

When a Politician tells you to vote wisely, all he/she is telling you is to vote for him/her.

Why is it that the coloniser we borrowed our systems has one family where everybody born therein is guaranteed power and prosperity at the expense of the populace. Does that culture look like fair play to you? Poverty and other forms of misery still exists in Britain.

The other leader, Germany, has managed to set several examples. (a). setting a record for genocide 70 years go. (b). The country came out of war situation and occupation the other day and is back to harassing neighbours.
