185R14

Hi talkers. is it possible to replace all four 185/70/14 with above in a fielder ama runx…will the tyres work on front…i only find those 185R14 fitted on these work horse sienta and probox rear axle only. will it affect handling, stability and consumption…example of 185R14 is linglong LMC5 cost kshs around 5k. Enlighten me please

Boss cheap is expensive! Enda yana wako na offer , better deal.

yana…NO!!!have been using linglong for the last 4 years…i find them better than GT and akina Apollo. as of Yana…had a good looking tyre only to remove it and find sooo many cracks…

linglong ni useless boss. nothing beats yana

For japanese cars look for a sticker on the drivers side door near the lock latch that will give you all the tyre/rim combinations that you can fit to your car

Champiro is better than linglong

185 is wider and therefore better handling, however it will be heavier at 30psi than the 175 therefore increased consumption. I guess your ride is a 1500cc . The increased consumption will be marginal and you might not note it. Regarding the tyre brand. All these tyres are fine according to me. Most tyres are Thailand or Malaysia Manufactured. The rubber used is similar. However if you want a tyre that will last , get Michelin . This will cost you almost 3 times the linglongs and chapiros . My advise , buy the cheap tyre, replace twice for the lifespan of the premium tyres !

i have bridgestone tires and the damn things keep getting punctures. they’re very soft tires.
the trade off is simple, soft and possibly frequent punctures or hard and less frequent punctures but may take longer to stop (a second or 2 at about 140km to 0)
with regard to size, go for the wider one. just don’t go sumo style - that style is absolute krep (unless you like it of course)
