ulianza argument na kusema hivi:

"70mm is actually a larger field of view, 9 times than the normal 35mm. So when you visit mama ngina for a Star Wars movie on IMAX you will see more details than when watching the same video at panari cinema."

which clearly shows that you have no idea that there's a difference between 70mm Imax Projection and Digital Imax projection! 70mm projection is almost thrice the size of what you get at Mama Ngina or panari. Three times the screen times. And much much higher resolutions. In this image 70mm projection is the classic IMAX whereas what you yourself are calling IMAX is the modern digital IMAX which is much smaller.

And those charts and that video you're putting here that's not how aspect ratios work. There are things called lenses those are the ones that determine how much picture you will acquire for the screen and NOT Imax digital or whatever your charts had indicated. The lens is the eye! PERIOD!

What makes 70mm superior is its ability to acquire data. More colour, more detail, more latitude etc. There's nothing to do with cropping here. Those charts are misguiding you to the actual reality on the ground.

You can have a very small 8mm camera with a wide lens capturing a very wide area than a big 35mm with a zoom lens. In my example of Mount Kilimanjaro I was talking about something called latitude. The 70mm will capture very vivid details. E.G. Snow, water on leaves, birds feathers, contrast etc. That's latitude. Whereas the 8mm or even 35mm might not capture similar fine details in the same sized frame. That's why 70mm is superior than even 8k digital cameras.
The outside border on this chart, that's 70mm as compared to other formats:

And then you said this:

"the 70mm shot is a wide angle camera..."

There's nothing like a wide angle camera. We talk of wide angle lenses.
Now you finally agree that video shot from 70mm shows more details compared to 35mm. You agree that IMAX screen are taller than normal convention screen. From the above image you also agree that there are different aspect ratio.,meaning what i will see from 1.43:1 is not the same on what ill see from 2.3:1. The kilimajaro thing is now changing tune.

When the director is talking about more details its not about the resolution but the area it captures. Example your phone camera has two aspects. The 16:9 and 4:3. Between these two, tell me which one has more details?? Try to capture images now and tell me.

...now lets assume the 4:3 above is IMAX. Now try to convert it to 16:9 without stretching it. Is it possible without loosing details??

Watch it in one of the 100 theatres christopher nolan recommended if it's still showing. He recommended a classic 15 perforatation 70mm IMAX theater where they're using the same projectors used on The hateful 8. There are a few classic IMAX theaters still remaining in the U.S.

We call this self affirmation in psychology. No one is going to harm you my friend, we are having a healthy argument. Stop defending yourself with insults.
Kuitwa complete idiot hujatukanwa nani, that is your reality. You're so mixed up I think you're just fooling around.

Nimeona ni mzaha tu ulikuwa nayo. When you say ati I've accepted 70mm shows more details than 35mm and yet my very first comments on this thread was to confirm and reaffirm that 70mm ndio baba yao...
Ujinga yako ndio mingi. nangoja utaje maya mahali nijue ni nani.

Even if you haven't read and won't read anything I've written above, just Google DIGITAL IMAX and 70mm IMAX. At least you get to differentiate the terms.

Also Google ANALOGUE FORMATS and DIGITAL FORMATS.
