Lost business opportunity for dummy heads. Hii culture yetu is ferkd up

Its 300ksh PP if you are a Kenyan, you pay by MPesa or card, no cash

UKenya ni lethal.

Cheki maneno experience I assume.

I had great experience at the Aberdares years ago. I’ve never used the Njabini, but the Mairi-Gatare route.
I high schooled at the bottom of the Abardares and we had a MANDATORY annual “Mountain Climbing” event every February. Back then it was almost a ‘death’ experience- good topic for a hekaya. We used to refer to the first ‘peak’ as ‘Despair’ and this is where the majority of the not-so-physically fit would stop (the monos would be crying and hallucinating at this point. Wet and cold). Only a very few ever made it to Satima.
Great great experience.

Those are mountains not hills.

Thanks. kama una gari mtu anailipia like hells gate you have to pay for the car

Yea…you pay for the car as well 300 ama 400

Kwani unaenda solo, that hike is no joke, done it thrice, first time nilifika despair,2nd and 3rd finished. The 3rd time nilikuwa naenda kuona kama I can increase the pace but nilijua sijui.

Sema tu wamunyona

Ha ha. Remember vile boys used to pack bread and soda, by the time unafika foot of Despair bag imekuwa mzito unatupa kila kitu! Na hio baridi jameni.
Lavoiser alienda Pioneer High, lakini Akinyi nilimwacha huko (that was a long time!!).

Waaah, yaani tumekutana hapa. kubuka mikono kufreeze mpaka ukifungua zip ukojoe inabaki hivo the rest of the journey juu unashidwa kuifunga. Douglas Kimani, 5066, me I don’t joke. alikuwa school captain nikiwa nguku.

Guess I was 2-3 years behind you then. I was 56xx.
I took this photo at Elephant. I made it to Buffalo!! During my last two years, a great number of students left school on Friday night after ‘gatu’. By dawn we were almost at the top of Despair. The scary part was between school and Gatare (Wardens’ camp)- we could ‘smell’ elephants in the dark, lol!
