There is a dire need to tame those 2NK and 4NTE matatus, zinakimbishwa sana

Caused by the thrill of turbo diesel .Power without control is nothing, so they say. Ile digital driving license should be introduced ASAP so that for every buffoonery you lose points .One will think twice before even overlapping.

Mbica niko nazo very gory rip to those 14 passengers in 2nk matatu.

Makosa ni ya trailer ,it caused multiple accidents before ramming into that matatu.

2NK iligeuka takataka kitambo sana, they still ride on the reputation they had years back. “Shuttle” zao ni 14 seater when other operators have comfortable 11 seaters. They no longer bother to service their vehicles coz customers bado humwagika kwa booking office zao kama siafu. I think it’s the Kenyan mentality, mkishazoea kitu ata ikiwa meffi bado hamuiachi. Last Dec 3 different people I know narrated separate encounters with 2NK “shuttles”. Kama sio puncture ilikuwa dereva mlevi, ama viti ziko na mende na kunguni.
So this is not thaaat surprising.

@Meria Mata ambia pilots wenzako wawache free wheeling na kupewa bj na mueni as they " drive " ati juu wako huko " juu " we can’t see them

I was referring to the urge ya thrashing the Toyota Hiace .I didn’t mean to imply the matatu driver was on the wrong .

Is there a way ya kuhepa inconvenience ya puncture ? Or you mean hazina spare tyre ?

Both. Incidences za puncture ziko high sana. Kuna mmoja ali-narrate vile walipata puncture akienda Nairobi na on the return trip tena. I know punctures happen but it’s like they use worn out tyres. Alafu pia mkipata puncture you wait on the roadside for like 30 minutes for another 2NK to pass by and give you their spare tyre. Ni vile tu they’re relatively many on the Nairobi Nakuru route, but imagine such a thing happening at night at a dangerous area. Ni kama the sacco grew so fast to the point they just started allowing anyone with a matatu, regardless of the vehicle’s condition.
