A fatal accident occurred on Tuesday night killing 5 people. The accident involved a Kamuiru school bus and a pickup truck.
The accident occurred along Kerugoya-Baricho road in Kirinyaga county. It was confirmed by Kirinyaga Central OCPD Yaya Chome.
The pickup was over speeding while carrying 7 people . It rammed the school bus which made the driver and a middle aged woman in the Pickup truck to die on the spot.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to Kerugoya district hospital mortuary. It was reported that the 4 women who died came from the same village of Kiamurugua.
6 people had been rushed to the hospital but three died after they arrived in that hospital.
In the school bus nobody was injured .This was said by the Kirinyaga county education director Peter Magiri .
Drivers have been asked to be cautious in roads and also to observe the traffic rules in order to avoid road accidents which are taking the lives of Kenyans everyday.
