do you mean no fatalities or casualties ES?
No fatalities. Just one passenger with a broken arm.
See how the roof did not cave in despite the weight? Hapa hii Zhongtong Climber ya mchina iko mbele. Imagine if it was some of these locally fabricated contraptions.
Management says they’re investigating but preliminary reports point to the rains making the road slippery… Plus the potholes on that stretch… But watu wanasema driver fatigue… Driver error.
kweli daktari, ingekua choda, KVM or Banbros stori ingekua ingine, sijui hua wanajenga gari zao aje.
It’s like they reinforce the frame using cypress wood to save on costs. Halafu wanatumia glue instead of bolts and nuts or even welding.
This needs some illustration in order to get some rough idea.

All buses are bottom heavy but the bits that hold the roof part on locally made bus bodies are just square tubes za kutengeneza gates (light gauge) then the body is technically plastered with body filler to give it that look ,the notorious ones ni hizi za town service.
Unafanya nianze kujishuku nikizipanda…
Kuona ni kuamini (seeing is believing)… Kenyan style. It would have been worse if this body filler granary rolled. Two mechanical engineering students at UON had their final year project covering the crash worthiness of bus frames in Kenya.Below is a link to their project ,very comprehensive.
