Several people are feared dead and dozens others injured after a matatu rammed into a lorry along the Thika Superhighway.
The bus plying the Mwiki-Nairobi route was behind a lorry carrying stones on the highway heading to Nairobi.
A resident, Peter Mwangi, says the lorry in front burst its front tyre and the driver struggled to steer it to the edge of the road.
The matatu driver could not react fast enough when a stone fell from the lorry. It tumbled on the stone, rolled over the rails and landed on the outbound lanes. It crushed a 14-seater matatu destined for Nanyuki. Two other personal cars were also involved.
No wonder NTSA insists all PSV Drivers must undergo retraining. I fully agree, besides other requirements on our roads.
MSL drivers are careless, personally l know it !
