All along, I believed Big Kev was fighting a malignant brain tumour and having seen someone I love die from cancer, I knew that things were about as bad as they can get. Imagine my shock when I found out that Big Kev had been misdiagnosed and he was infact suffering from a parasite which lodges itself in the brain!
I immediately called my brother who happens to be a doctor for more information on what this could be and while he says that it could be any number of parasites, he suspects (given our geographical location) that it was Taenia solium cysts.
But while I am awaiting Big Kev’s number so I can ask him what exactly was in his head eating his brain, I managed to get the post-op pictures and I must warn the faint hearted that they will mess your tummy up a little:
