Ads on a smart tv..

Fam what software or app do you use to block ads on youtube for a smart/android tv…

Smart tube

its ad free?

Yes.

For TV, right?

Just that it is not available on Google play store. So installation is not straight forward.

But I use it on my Chromecast With Google TV HD.

I use it on firestick

On my fire stick it replaced the YouTube app plus I have stremio + realdebrid. Plus 60Mps connection.

Life is quite soft for WUOD OMBARE

Can’t buy a TV to watch fucking ads. Stick to a regular TV.

Real debrid is the truth

It’s not the TV bringing ads, ni YouTube wenyewe

Tv ni ya nini huwa?. I have one and I hate it

I use an Lg smart tv and you can only get a limited few apps on their store, is there a workaround

You have to go around it. Buy a chromecast/ fire stick or implement network wide adblock… Possibly through adblocking dns kwa router or pihole

How do you add an adblocker Kwa router

If this works for you it doesn’t for me. I have ad blocked by dns settings on the phone, which I use as my hotspot. No ads on the phone but millions of ads on the Chromecast. Perhaps I will do the dns settings on the Chromecast as well nione kama itakuwa as effective as it is on the phone.

Install Brave and you will never have to worry about any ad on any of your devices ever again. It even gives you an analysis of all the ads that were blocked

Enda kwa router settings ile ya 192.168.. and change the dns to one of the adblocking dns kama next dns or adguard. Shida ya hii is it might affect latency

Tinga brave only works on android TV watu wa lg tv wako nje

Implementing this on TVs like LG and Samsung might ruin your experience as some useful information comes through ads. But heneway it’s better than having nothing.

Better solution is just to purchase an android based dongle.

Lemme leave this here
According to Janko Roettgers’s Lowpass newsletter, a hardware startup headed by the co-founder of Pluto TV is developing an ad-supported television set–yes, we’re talking a physical TV here, not a streaming TV service–that won’t cost a dime.

The “decent-sized” TV would come with an integrated second screen that would display advertisements while you watch the larger main screen, and the television would “likely” employ ACR (short for “automatic content recognition”) to serve ads that are contextually relevant to whatever you’re watching, according to Roettgers’s story
