Honourable villagers. Are there any Lawyers here. Am a student doing my phd now. Unfortunately i am facing an allegation of a forged a signature for the registrar not in bad note, I faced the Academic standards and disciplinary commetee and the on which i convinced them.

The matter has been taken above and sources are they might involve the authorities in as much as the University has its own policies used by the Disciplinary commeetee. Guided by a Handbook and Bulletin be used.

NB. The signature was only for a follow up grade nothing much.

Should i get a Lawyer? Mark you its only a signature no Rubber stamp. Is it first a Criminal offence? Need your genuine answers. Regards.

You are doing a PhD and you don't know that impersonation is a big crime?
In PhD even coping a few sentences is a crime with a possibility of disqualification. You deserve the punishment mate!

Doing PhD is an introduction to Academia where honesty is prevalent.

Just go and beg! Talk like men and beg them to sort the issue without the higher levels. Tell them how naive you were (only if you are in first years). Just give a reason why you signed it and beg for forgiveness.
Otherwise, hope for the best but expect the worst.

You truly sound naive. Of course it's a criminal offence to forge a signature. Get yourself a lawyer quickly for some guidance.
