following the incident at stephjoy school where my buddy lost a son ,
The suspects we arrested and the case is going on…
How can we approach the issue from a parent’s view and what cause of action should we take and what do we stand to gain as in information or compesation?
Legal advise needed .as at now the family is confused and are willing to let go but as a friend I think we should pursue this matter.
For the reason that it should never happen to any other parent the agony was too much…the burial was the most sorrowful,I saw old men (wenye wamekula chumvi na kuona mengi crying).
I feel I should really help them!
you can sue the school for compensation IF there is proof that there was failure on their part to prevent the arson. This is also dependent on the court’s findings and ruling in the current case, so you may have to sit back and await the current case to run. Iam no lawyer though.

If they want to sue, I think it’s alright. But let them do it to teach some people some lessons, and NEVER to try and make a capital gain out of their son’s death! I think it’s a deserving case, unlike that of the brat who hid drugs in her privates and now her family wants to sue for compensation!

You may also want to look if there were building code violations. I don’t know the laws around such n the accompanying penalties if any.
