Africa’s Mediocrity: No End In Sight, Sh!thole forever.

The inability of Africans to solve the most basic problems is beyond pathetic. It’s unthinkable. It’s unfathomable. It’s maddening. It’s numbing. If there is one thing I am not, it is patriotic. Passionate as I am about the growth of the continent, I am not anti-colonialist and I am not nationalistic. There’s nothing to be patriotic about. There’s absolutely nothing to be proud of. I honestly won’t bat an eyelid if other continents start enslaving us again. Are we not still slaves, nay dependents, after decades of independence? And there’s no end in sight.

Some people make excuses for Africa’s mediocrity saying African countries are still relatively young and most developed countries did not get to where they are today in a few decades. This is Bullsh!t. These same people are looking to leave or leaving the continent by any means possible. Here’s my question – what does it take to copy what others have done? What does it take to take working prototypes and blueprints and apply it to your own situation?

Dubai is a prime example of a region that has done just that, and they’ve surpassed a lot of developed countries in almost every economic sector – from transportation to tourism to urbanization. Dubai is not 500 years old. Dubai did not need a century to do this. Africa has at least 300 days of bright, biting, hectic and exhausting sunlight every year, yet solar power remains one of Africa’s most abundant but scarcely used resources. This is ridiculous and utterly shameful. Think about this for a second – judging from the sheer amount of solar energy that hits Africa every day, we should be the most electrified continent. Heck, electricity should be one of our biggest exports!

What ails Africa is this bullshit of Religion and Superstition za ujinga. Mediocrity and Laxity ndio zetu.
You know what? Negroes are still NOT fully Human. End of rant

planning as everything else is the problem with africans. We are poor planners and we dont execute whatever we say we want to achieve

Fisked. Thanks to @slevyn

I don’t understand why some people like to write long essays with finished thesis on Africa’s shortcomings but they don’t say what they are doing to change the status quo…

That’s not 1964 Nairobi. Maybe Nairobi 1974 but I totally agree with you

If you don’t like it here why don’t you get a one way ticket to Dubai ama ni visa hujui vyenye hutafutwa.
Ukishaipata enda hapo Ambassador utapata Double M N0 34 ikupeleke JKIA.

Kufeni mtuachie nchi

I hate self defeatist niggAz

Stop looking at the city, look at your house and your life, what value have you added to it over the past 3 years! Then talk of the city.

Why won’t God rid us of your stupidity?

@Punda ajasoma na hakosi kazi…

I agree however even Dubai si ni waislamu…may not be relgious but they have religion.
Africans ni simple, 1) always always ALWAYS blame someone else, 2) accept mediocrity 3)never looks inward

As compared to other countries, we are actually moving backwards when it comes to city order.
The last two pics of Nairobi are the exact proof to this. Viosks and vibandas all over the estates, city center crowded with no organised city transport system, while TZ, Rwanda, South American countries are busy making actual progress and not paper and mouth progress like us.
I saw a clip of lima, that is Peru’s capital for y’all weak in world geography. City yao Safi and organised, and yes they have markets and road side shops in some areas…
Huku kwetu nice estates were swallowed by slums…

Spot on reality and our systems don’t like order and tidiness.
