Kama alikua amechukua a Comprehensive insurance cover, which covers for damages from theft, vandalism due to i.e riots, falling objects like trees,
floods, fire, hitting animals…hapa atalipwa. Or if he/she had cover ya third party-fire & theft. But kama alichukua ile ya Just third party (usually the cheapest) hapo atalilia kwa choo

How long does it take

You never know,it can drag for months esp if there is a case involved. The best way to make settlements claims is through a lawyer. insurance huogopa lawyers. Then lawyer inamwambia utamlipa a percentage if the value your will compensated. He will have to win

why does it always have to be a case when i want settlement and it was a sweetheart deal when we signed? Thieves!

Theres something pple dont understand about comprehensive insurance. You are insured upto a certain limit, say 30m. Now suppose your VX worth 10m causes an accident, destroying Uwesmake’s X6 (10m), killing the five occupants and your 4 passengers. Compensation for the dead is determined in court and nothing can move until such is determined.

Now suppose the court awards each dead 2m (total 18m). Your car and Uwesmake’s cost another 20m. Total claim is 38m.

Now dear friends, your comprehensive insurance will sort the dead first + Uwesmake for 28m. Since they had insured 30m, wewe utapewa 2M ujisort na VX yako.

Where 3rd party claims exceed the insured amount, then you are required to top up the difference.

I understand you can ask to remain with the salvages? Hehe…nitaenda Uganda na kuchukua VX…halafu…Si mnagitch???

Once you’re paid the salvage is no longer yours. However, they give you an option to purchase it if you want.
