Thanks.

i have bought almost 160 items from AliEx. most expensive being 27k while cheapest being 37 bob. all have arrived. some late some on time. maybe 4 or 5 have arrived damaged, and AliEx refunded me. one failed to arrive, i got refunded, it finally arrived and i contacted the seller and told her to send a link with an invoice for payment. i paid and she gave me a discount with my next purchase “for honesty kind man” (osungu yao ni tafash)
i wouldn’t trust that propaganda as for me it has worked perfectly. i have saved thoooooooooousands of shillings as compared to similar products priced differently in local sokos.

How do you go about shopping from Aliexpress? Where do they deliver goods to? What’s the delivery cost? What about KRAs tax issues?
Asante

This is a GOLD grade review. Thanks for sharing!
@Deorro, see here how a helpful review should look like.

from reviews ni kama mimi ndio order zangu ziko na shida,i had like 10 and only one arrived,i was refunded though after a long wait.

sorry i’m only just seeing this.

  1. delivery ni kwa post office box yako. get mpost. google it.
  2. you buy, select, pay and wait for 2-8 weeks.
  3. some shipping is free some is charged. you will decide.
  4. small things pass for free. big things in boxes are charged kiasi. always tell the seller to remove the box.

Akitoa box inashipiwa na nini, custom small box bila labels? Don’t mind the silly quiz, am on a steep learning curve too.

hehe there’s no silly question my fren. they’ll put it in a bubble envelope or bubble pack. safe and convenient. always tell them just before you buy. there’s an option for writing a message to the seller before you pay. so just say “no box, only bubble envelope packet please, thank you” (remember their osungu is messy)

I have also bought like 50 items. All arrived on time.

True. Maybe instances of buying knock-offs but being totally scammed of your money no.

Meanwhile if you will be placing many orders in a year say more than 25 orders it is advisable to just open a personal mail box for. 2550 initially then 2k in the subsequent yrs since for every parcel delivered by mpost you have to pay 100 bob but with your own mail address no extra charges

I paid for my mpost for 2 years, sikuona manufaa yake or anything special. The way they used to deliver my parcels before, during and now after I discarded it is still the same.

Haina hata mimi I abandoned mine. Natumia to box ya shule.

Fungua account nao weka details zote kama town code esp. Post Office utatumiwe kwa posta you can pay with Mpesa buda

Posta siku hizi they operate kama any other jua kali delivery services operators. It doesn’t matter whether you have a post office box or not. If I have a letter or a parcel for you I just send it at my post office to your nearest post office with just your name and phone number on the said letter and you get notified the moment it arrives at your post office.

Sorry! Not the traditional way of sending letters. You have to take it to the counter… what they call registered mail!

Shida ni taxes, unailengaje?
