my car seems to be chewing the alternator belt. it has started making the squelching noise a month after I bought a new one. Shida ni gani ? cz those belts are supposed to go even for two years without replacement.

About 1K to 1.3K.
Go to Kirinyaga road and ask for a shop called Timax or Techpride
Ask them for genuine belts.
Ungesema uko Na 3k!!
on a serious note. Buy genuine parts. But sometimes the noise is caused by misalignment of the belt. Get it to a good mech to sort this out.
Belt imelegea.
First aid kiasi …
just open the bonnet mwagilia hiyo belt maji kidogo after that pelekea mechanic to tighten it
kwani ni ya leather
Hiyo ni first aid baadaye ataipeleka garage hiyo kitu inataka kukazwa
Pelekea mechanic akaze. The noise will go. A kawaida mech should charge you not more than 300/- for that job.
your car needs ugali on top of gasoline…
Mine is producing that sound when the engine is cold and aircon is on. To avoid it, i turn on the aircon after about 3min when the engine warms up. What could be problem
The air con is an additional load. If you are keen enough, the engine revs at idling go up slightly when you start the AC.
Inabidi saa zingine, like when you have to drive slowly in a hot day and dusty road
:D:D pia wewe wataka kununua hio belti feki?
Just get an original one from the guys selling engines @ grogon. Got mine at 3k and the car has been forever ‘peaceful’
Uchafu pia huwa inachangia, especially when you drive over a puddle or flooded area alaf maji chafu isplash kwa belt
