The new Ryzen chips by AMD have been creating a buzz of late with their upped performance. In kenya i still see a majority of laptops being sold/used are mainly Intel based.
Anyone who uses an AMD(ryzen specifically) laptop to give a quick review of the experience

AMD ni ufala especially if you want performance. But if it's for graphics it's the best

I have HP ENVY Laptop with AMD Ryzen 5 and Radeon Vega 8 Graphics card.

So far, the performance is excellent and I have never had any performance issues on my laptop. It has never hung and it runs very fast.

Although, I have to give some of the credit to the RAM (16gb) and SSD that comes with the laptop.

Yes, you can also unlock the disabled cores on Ryzen and maximize performance.

Sioni kama nitawahi rudi kutumia Intel processors tena.

Sijawahi kuwa na overheating issues.
In fact, it's one of quietest laptop I have ever owned.
The amount of AMD laptops that I've dealt with that needed reballing is overwhelming. Some are even irrepairable. I posted this matter in r/techsupport and people agreed.
AMD laptops, according to my experience, aren't durable.
Last week someone came with a clean ASUS A10 and Radeon R9 that would shutdown randomly. I even installed a temporary custom heatsink with a desktop fan just incase it was thermals but nothing.
I see a client take out a laptop with a AMD sticker, I twitch. I can't acquire a AMD laptop. Desktop anyday, anytime but not laptop.
