Very desolate and lonely road. Once scanned the whole FM band and could not pick a single fm station on that stretch. At Witu, I asked for 250 airtime card and the whole shop (shopkeeper+customers+idlers) looked at me in awe. Was told highest denomination is 20 bob. Settled for 100 bob!

Usiende huko 2017. Angalia hali ya anga kwanza alafu ndio uende.

Ukisafiri huko unatoa pesa yote kwa benki unaweka kwa MPESA. Eti FM? Hahaha…huko hamna redio. Last I checked the transmitter station at Malindi that serves the region had long broken down (and remained unrepaired for over 10yrs). Perhaps things have improved with DVB-T2 now.

Bloody reckless drivers with no one to crack the whip.

how is the cellular network?
is it reliable?

Ubaya it used to be one of only two bus companies serving Mpeketoni, the other being Falcon. So kama waelekea huko it was almost inevitable.
