The effects of long-term LSD have not been well studied.
Systematically (daily, for 90 days) taking LSD rats showed a spectrum of abnormal behavior similar to that observed in rats with a model of schizophrenia: hyperactivity, low social interaction. LSD changed the expression of genes in the medial prefrontal cortex towards the profile associated with schizophrenia.
It is reasonable to assume that systematic administration of LSD changes the sensitivity and/or number of dopamine receptors and thus provokes emotional disorders.
One guy was on a tablet for 2 weeks and that’s how he shared his feelings:
difficult to pronounce words, difficult to find the right ones; difficult to communicate words in a sentence (doesn’t feel the connection between the words); difficult to listen to the interlocutor (in the middle of a phrase the sense of meaning is dispersed);
psychedelic visuals appear when you look at any surface;
uncontrollable emotions; opposite emotions can change quickly several times in a short space of time; it is almost impossible to think rationally; irritability due to the slightest noise;
memory problems; forgets faces and people, periodically forgets what I thought a second ago, no matter how important thought is;
sometimes feels as if he’s sitting in a boat, or that gravity has changed in his head.

You’ll have to share what papers you’re basing this on, because any ‘research’ conducted in the 60s-70s was predominantly biased to demonize the use of psychedelics and debase their users (hippies hizo matyme).
Research has been opening up lately on how psychedelics can be used to clinically treat some mental illnesses such as depression, and this research is being carried out under contemporary measures. Here as some papers:
Fuentes, J. J., Fonseca, F., Elices, M., Farré, M., & Torrens, M. (2020). Therapeutic use of LSD in psychiatry: A systematic review of randomized-controlled clinical trials. Frontiers in Psychiatry, 10. doi:10.3389/fpsyt.2019.00943 - this is a systematic review of randomized controlled clinical trials, 2 out of 567 subjects experienced adverse negative effects, and efficacy in treating neurological disorders was determined.
Nimechoka kujaribu kusound academic btw, but gist is that yeah kunaweza kuwa na negative effects, but mostly if you’re predisposed to having those issues. New knowledge shows however, that things are overwhelmingly positive for the use of it.
