i’d advise you google for that but the ones i saw during a bee keeping field day were painted yellow and had a plainsheet on top which pretty much should keep out water, preserving them like forever.
I have a good friend of mine who happens to keep bees/beehives ‘mwatu’ the traditional ones .his bees went on rampage and killed two of the neighbours goats…niliwacha akipelekwa kwa chief:D:D
