Kidogo kidogo utaskia a merger ya east African central banks. Number plate pia zilisha Fananishwa . If not watu wa central bank ni walazy mbaya

This is very bad, imagine someone gives you that 1000UG and you give him some change back thinking it’s KES, what a loss…

Pale Busia watu wata umia sana

Ni kama mwenye alipata contract ya kufanya pesa za Uganda ndio alifanya za Kenya. I don’t like this new notes but money is money.

Meanwhile, I will save a few of the old notes somewhere for sentimental purposes.

I have an idea just for that.

Ndio maana wanalia sana wanasema pesa zinafanana sana na za ug.

Wengine washaweka hadi technology kama satellite kwa noti wakati sisi tuko kwa sanamu ya Johnstone

This is pathetic.

I think its a good thing to have one currency.

Our currency design was alright. What wasn’t alright was us letting ourselves to be incited by a few selfishly disgruntled busybodies who exploited effectively our moments of weakness and told us that what ails our country is the picture of Kenyatta on the currency notes. It never matters what image is on the notes. What should be important to us is how we can get a person who can make it easier for us citizens to earn those notes and that what we have earned should be sufficient to make our lives easier and better.

They are all made by De la Rue here in Ruaraka. Kshs, ugshs, Tshs and south Sudan pounds. Its was their laziness that has our countries notes looking the same. They also make some rupees for India, Sri Lanka and Maldives. Hiyo Kenyatta portrait on KICC, I suspect it was someone trying to impress President Uhuru for staying the course with them. Government now owns 40% of De LA Rue as joint owners.

Let the statue go.
