I have always wondered how arranged marriages work. How people who are total strangers or know each other for a short while manage to stay married for long. In fact some arranged married last longer than the one that the couple dated for years.

Some years ago there was this single mother that used to do laundry for a neighbor. I used to jokingly tell her that she should move in with me. We became friends over time and one day she just stopped coming. I was kinda hurt and after some weeks I forgot about her.

At the start of the next month she showed up at my door with her kid and a large bag. She asked me if I was serious when I used to tell her that we should live together. I was thinking with the little head so I said yes. We stayed together for six month and it was good. She was everthing a man looks for in a woman. Hardworking like hell. When I saw things were getting serious I sabotaged the relationship and kicked her out.

My point is. Those six months were the best. I think getting to know more of her everyday is what kept the flame on. It was like doing something without caring about the consequences. What’s your take guys? What do you think about arranged marriages?
