All petrolheads, 4 wheels and 2 wheels alike, know or have experienced the joy of watching a good documentary about our passion.
Just finish watching one right now, but thought I’d add in a worthy mention.
For me, as a man, these docs, especially the latter two, speak to me a lot. Hope you enjoy if you haven’t watched them already. Something to keep for your sons, and daughters if they are so inclined.
This is the one I watched today, Ferrari: Race to Immortality. Sad, but has some strong visuals and great historical footage. basically about Ferrari’s glory days in the 50s. You can get that here.

The next and one that moved me greatly as a dude pursuing his goals, the Williams (2017) documentary really has no match. Very emotive. Luckily its on the tube:
The last, is a must see for bikers, and those who have dreams of (bike) racing at any level: Road (2014). This one appealed to me mainly because of revealing truths about life as a man visa vies sacrifices made both by family, by the men themselves, but also the legacy left behind. For those who follow the Isle of Man TT, this will be great for you. Sad, but inspirational. Basically about the Dunlop family, which is road racing royalty. Get it here - seeds may be low though.
It’s much better…I almost thought Chris Harris would go back to YouTube since he already has a big following.
They were trying too hard before.
Grand Tour is good. Production is still tops, laddishness is still there. There’s just something about the dynamic, plus now they’re not PC, which is what we need in this day and age.
I was a bit disappointed with everything blowing up (very American) and corny story line and scripting of GT but it’s still the old crew most of the times.
