Audiophile dream come true. Lg cl88.

I am one audiophile and could do with better system and setup however, at this stage in life, with some small kids around, it will not make sense until they possibly leave the home or mature up kabisa... then I will reconsider... For now it will be a waste of time since they will destroy it!

I dont want to speak from a point of ignorance since I have neither seen nor heard an assembled music system north of 500k. But I am sure the price is not that steep without a reason.
Kuna ukora mingi sana out there. Say you buy a TV for 120k plus.

That's an expensive TV. Already that motherfucker comes kitted with high end speakers far superior to those sound bars... but humans are humans, hawes amini.

Wacha wanaume wakule. :D

Na hizo speaker zimepimwa in all manner of environments including in cinema room setup which is why you have bought that TV for 120k.

There is an addiction for aftermarket products. You buy a car unaskia no I need to add new rims, new seats, new speakers, new engine...

Especially pale U.S of A. You don't believe that what you have purchased is good enough.

Kama huyo @Dodger how has he connected said speakers to the TV? Tuanzie hapo.

You see the inbuilt speaker of the TV is one interface. Hii umeongezea, how have you linked it to the TV?

It is not possible for a TV to be a grade A sound system... especially these thin screen TVs we are now buying nowadays... Audiophiles operate in the grade B+ to A environments where B+ is due to constraints....

This is what I mean. It has been fed into your brain that what you have purchased is not good enough.

(Even in your own body you want new boobies, new lips, buttocks, nose etc)

The funny part is that it is well known that most times the big companies want you to buy these extras for obvious reasons. For instance Dodger has bought a samsung TV and then he purchases infinity speakers.

But in reality hizo infinity bado ni za Samsung tu.

Infinity is owned by Harman Kardon or rather Harman international.

Harman international is just a small subsidiary of Samsung.

In short Samsung also owns :

Harman markets its products under various brands, including AKG, AMX, Arcam,[6] Bang & Olufsen Automotive, Becker, BSS Audio, Crown, dbx, DOD Electronics, DigiTech, Harman Kardon, Infinity, JBL, Lexicon, Mark Levinson, Martin, Revel, Soundcraft and Studer.

So in your Samsung TV , Samsung can put any of these products because they own them plus the patents. But wewe customer unataka kuskia jina Harman Kardon ama JBL... na bado zote ni Samsung.

Mnadharau LG yet they own Bang and Olufsen.

(Samsung on the other hand owns Bang and Olufsen automotive department.)

Let's say you buy the Bang and Olufsen 3 piece set for kshs 800,000 , si hio bado ni LG tu umenunua? Yet in the LG TV and HiFi systems they have those very same B&O speakers but far cheaper. But as a customer I guess you want to buy that brand , that name B & O :

On the B&O website they recommend you buy this soundbar together with the LG TV yet it costs 6 times more than the TV!!! And yet the LG TV already contains inbuilt B&O speakers!

@Sidindi Bey aka Patilisia vitu huvijui achana nazo, kuona movie na soundbar /dvd hometheatre zile za 30k isn't the same na kuwatch a BluRay file and above with 5.2ch-7.2ch encoded on a 5.2ch- 7.2ch sound set-up, ningekwambia uingie Electrohub The Hub Karen lakini najua hauko jiji. I don't own such setups but at least naeza sema I've experienced them physically. Hakuna hata kulinganisha mzee, watu kama wewe na @Benn Dover don't own them and neither experienced them, hakuna kitu mnaambia watu hapa.

Your argument does make sense. I have a pair of samsung earphones that cost me around 12k but other than software features, my Oraimo that cost 3k sounds just as good. But nimeona hiyo set up na subwoofers mbili bana lazima hiyo kitu inagonga videadly.

My point exactly. Sidhani kitu itacost half a million tu bure kama sound yake si kali thats why nimeona tu ninyamaze juu sijawahi experience hiyo sound.

Bang & Olufsen was a well recognised/established company way before LG came along mdau, acquiring doesn't change what they produce it only bolsters resources and the ability to penetrate markets. Olufsen has still maintained their engineers and staff etc.

It has taken me 5 years to get here na Bado sijafika coz every two years there's something new and better .....ushawai ona torrent ya 75GB na ingine ya 2GB but still ni the same movie? Jiulize why the extra 73GB? This scene made a friend duck for cover.
Tafasali kuwa muungwana utupe uzi ukielezea huu mpangilio safi kabisa.

@Old Monk enda hapo Galleria na ubomoe oled ya kawaida saa hii uangalie hizo speaker zake zimeandikwa aje. Wacha kudharau LG.

Na kama pesa sio shida hata kidogo, meet the flagship Oled TV, the LG Oled 8K Bang & Olufsen Beovision. And this is an old TV introduced in 2015 and still in the market today.

Angalia bei yake hapo chini :

Na si uende IMAX theatre. Hio ndio gold standard. Hio hata @Sambamba asikudanganye ako nayo.

IMAX ndio mwisho wa mawazo dunia mzima. They use 12,000 watt JBL speakers today owned by Samsung. From the IMAX website :

  • Sonics Proportional Point Source™ (PPS) loudspeaker system was specifically designed for IMAX® theatres. The system typically uses 44 laser focused speaker drivers located throughout the theater to fully envelope the audience.
