Talkers, let me rest this debate ONCE AND FOR ALL. I PASSED THROUGH THAT ROAD 10 DAYS AGO (SEE MY HEKAYA ON THE DAY I ALMOST DIED).

IF THAT IS THE ROAD (Kithimani-Makutano Ya Mwala -Mayakos) YOU GUYS ARE TALKING ABOUT, THEN I CAN CONFIRM THAT I DID NOT COME ACROSS EVEN ONE POTHOLE.

The road is in very good condition, if too narrow in some places. Some of the metallic bridges are accidents waiting to happen (they are single-lane).

I also did not understand the need by Mutua to instal street lights along an 80km road in the bundus, but he has done it!

THE END

I used that road some time late last year and that’s how it looked on some places, not all. Remember, it’s a 30km long stretch that was awarded to 10 different contractors each of whom did about 3km. Granted, the workmanship in some places (as above) wasn’t entirely up to par but none was happier than me to see that road, finally, tarmacked. Yale masahibu tumewahi pitia on that route ni mengi. The one thing, however, I wasn’t happy about was the delay in paying the contractors long after they’d done the job.

It’s not 80km, correction. Those bridges predate the tarmacking of the road. During the tarmacking, they remained as they were, untouched.

Which is which?Or Guka’s jalopy makes the distance seem double?

Its definitely not 30km from Kithimani to Mayakos. Somewhere between 50-80km, that am sure.

From Kithimani to Mayakos by mat is Sh200 - I asked the distance at the Kithimani turnoff, and that’s how a clever Mkamba explained it

I told guys in the other thread I use that road frequently. The pic that was posted was a figment of imagination. Hayo tu kwa sasa.

The section the governor did is Kithimani to Makutano ma Mwala, which is roughly 30kms.

I was hoping for such news. Unbiased and unexaggerated! Thank you very much, @FieldMarshal CouchP, for aiding their asses, though a photo could have sufficed!

Actually I have seen the photos above. They speak better than hekayas. But I’m still skeptical, though. And I still, honestly, hope that the photos on the other thread are fake!

heheee internet itatuonesha mambo. akina alau were going for alfie’s nuts like they got the title for them

Fitina ni ugonjwa mbaya sana. Glad to see people who are on the ground correcting the malcious portrayal of Chap Chap guy’s efforts. As someone commented earlier we are yet to see the first donkey path from kaWiper after kitu 40 years in politics.
