Pulling out is symbolic only. Citizens can still be prosecuted for atrocities even if their country is not a signatory. This is what most learned people don’t understand. And anyway, what do Kenyans have to hide.
And don’t forget, in the modern world , there are other court processes outside the UN charter.
In fact , the UN has other mechanisms to prosecute you outside the ICC process. I suggest you read about the Khmer Rouge.

Being a signatory prevents the ICC from interfering with domestic affairs as they did in 2011. Do you think the ICC can investigate crimes against black folks in America? Whether real or imagined?
US have shown other despotic countries what do to when facing ICC investigations.
ICC was invited to Kenya by Kenyans. So technically I dont know what they interfered with.
Crimes against black folks doesnt amount to genocide or displacement. So my guess is that ICC has no jurisdiction. But it doesnt even matter. Kenyans have been polluted into ICC talk ( and single position thinking) by local politicians. ICC is one way the UN can investigate crimes against humanity. It does have other ways. In fact, using the ICC is the weakest method.
ICC is a eu colonial court for controlling Africa. Didn’t bensouda not get that brief from france and germany. If she tries to prosecute bush, blair or israel for war crimes, the usa can directly attack this court.
