Congrats first on the move you are about to take. It needs guts. Its advisable to have short term goals even if you fail, you learn and move on. Its hard as many as talkers just mentioned to own a business when you are in employment. Any start up business needs mobility and full time dedication. But in Kenya it’s either you are dedicated/hardworking or you are well connected.
my advice;
-Get yourself an asset. can be a unit of land ocha, education(upgrade your education, part time course ivi)
-Invest in money markets(200k by the end of year can give you 24k pale cytonn. go through the web to understand). their interest is compounded on a daily basis.
- If you are near get away places (naivasha, nakuru, mombasa etc). get a small 1bed and furnish it for airbnb. That needs little supervision
