What’s their agitation all about…ama nikama MRC?

When Biafra declared independence from Nigeria and became a country, Nigeria blockaded Biafra and almost a million people starved to death. Biafra had no choice but to surrender and get back in line. That was when Nigeria was weak what about now when it is doing relatively well?

But to be honest, without oil revenues from the South, Nigeria would be in a very bad situation.

The Muslim northerners have plundered the South and the two need to separate.

The problem of Biafra is mainly due to negative ethnicity against the Igbo people, who are the majority in the region. Every community or country has a dominant group of people in various aspects. The Igbo people are apparently the dominant group in Nigeria. This is where the problem starts. Unlike in other scenarios, the problem is fueled more by the fact that the Igbo people are never shy of letting everyone else know that they are better. This definitely attracts a lot of hatred and of course a need to cut their pride to size. The other reason causing problems in Biafra is oil. Most of Nigeria oil reserves are found in this region. It will therefore take a lot of convincing to let this region go. The Biafra war was mainly fueled by this fact.
In addition, religious intolerance plays a major role in dividing Nigerians in general. They first divide into ethnic groups then the ethnic groups divide into religious groups. The whole situation has become very complicated. Add that to the fact that since independence in 1960s, Nigeria has never had a stable democratically elected government until Obasanjo took over from General Abacha in late 90s. Apparently, Nigeria as a country has only enjoyed relative political stability in the 7-year rule of President Obasanjo since independence.
Given a chance, I would strongly vote in favor of dividing Nigeria into 3 regions largely occupied by Hausa in northern Nigeria, Igbo in eastern Nigeria and Yoruba in western Nigeria. By doing this, you will have greatly reduced the intensity of negative ethnicity and religious intolerance. The sacrifice will be letting most of the oil go to one region and perhaps the northern part becoming a landlocked country. We all know that this will ever happen in our lifetime.
