The start of the ninth season of voyeuristic reality TV show Big Brother Africa with the theme Hotshots, has been put off following a fire that razed the Sasani Studios in Johannesburg where the show was to kick off on September 7.

The cause of the fire in which no one was injured is yet unknown, although the production team has assured fans of the show that investigations will be conducted.
The cancellation presents a challenge for Endemol and M-Net who have said that they will work to secure a new location for the show, although the highly technical infrastructure to go with the production are not immediately available.
