Bishop Gatimu Girls National School's Student Found Dead in Dormitory

Joan Mumbi, a Form two student at Bishop Gatimu Ngandu Girls High School was found dead in the dormitory on Sunday in an incident that has puzzled her colleagues.

Mumbi was found hanging in the dormitory with a bedsheet around her neck, in a case that is suspected to be suicide, Citizen Digital reports.

The student is said to have committed suicide when others were in for the morning preps and Sunday service.
Mathira West Deputy County Commissioner, Charles Monari confirmed the incident stating that the 19-year-old committed suicide due to the pressure she got from her father to perform better in her studies.

The deceased also left a suicide note indicating that she was living with her father while her child, whom she conceived while in class 6, was living with her mother after her parents separated.

Her body was taken to the Karatina Hospital Mortuary.

WTH, when i was 19 years old i was already in campus 2nd year, huyu alikua form 2?

Kila mtu na wakati wake hapa ungesema tu RIP na unyamaze.

She had a baby while in class six, some disruption there.

when you are a father to daughters lazma ucheze chini…discpline girls with excess love hadi akuwe motivated kufanya what pleases you…mambo ya kukaa ngumu na kukuwa tough ni ya ihee…but girls need tender approach…na nishaiambiwa watu mara mob…ukitaka msichana afaulu, mpende zaidi na akiimagine kukudisappoint anakuwa deterred from kumisbehave

So many things went wrong for Joan at an early age. Underage sex and pregnancy that is real trauma right there, her parents separation, separation from her child, returning to school especially boarding school where girls can gossip and bitch 24/7…vvvv sad. Her dad has been implicated but he was only providing what he knows best. EDUCATION. Maybe put too much pressure on her fragile broken brain.

true…and a mother figure would have struck some balance .I always say the best environment for any kid is one that has a sober mother and father

No sympathies for those who commit suicide whether male or female. Exceptions are made only for children. Sympathies are reserved for the ones who are fighting to remain alive.

:D:D:Dwachia hapo…

:D:Dmaybe…yeye ni alpha mail remember…:D:D

alikua Bishop Gatimu which means alipita KCPE vizuri and maybe the dad used the same method to make sure she passed well…He only expected the same which the girl could not stand.Problem with african parents is they force what they want on their children.Your parent will force you to become a doctor which he/she never was… …MHSRIP
