I usually say that the american black man must engage in more brainy pursuits. Not hip hop, basketball or anything of the sort. That way they can ever hope for better treatment and respect. Bill gates is worth almost the entire hip hop industry. Silicon valley is worth more than all back American investments many times over.
However I do understand their painful history. Its difficult to integrate into a society that treated you like this let alone be civil with the former masters.

In Australia, the settlers said that they never found anyone on the continent. They classified the Aborigines as fauna(belonging to the animal kingdom). So Australia was unoccupied by any human species according to Australian settler law. When you go through the entire History of slavery and how slaves were treated you really look at these people in a different way.
