With my ABS and Traction Control off, I took this chance to show the wife what happens when the wheels lock up under heavy braking. Long story short, after a terrifying practical lesson followed up by an hour of instructive theory with youtube videos for demonstration, she got the point. I wish we would all teach the women in our lives to drive as good as we (claim) are. ION, I recently had my brake pads changed at a cost of 7500. Dealer quote is 12K for genuine pads but that is a story for another day. After some small road trip over the last weekend, I noticed a crazy amount of brake dust on the rims. If that is an indication of their wear rate, I doubt I will have them for long. Previous genuine pads were seriously worn even though they always stopped the vehicle quite decently. My lesson, cheap is expensive y'all; unless you like visiting the garage/parts duka as hobby.
