Buruburu shooting

Buruburu Police are holding the owner of a popular bar who is suspected to have murdered his second wife in the wee hours on Friday morning.

Mr Erastus Odhiambo is suspected to have hit his 27-year-old wife, Linda Wanjiku’s head with a gun before kicking her severally leading to her death at their house in Buruburu Phase Five Extension.

Witnesses said Mr Odhiambo arrived home early Friday morning and found that his wife was not at home. He went out again only to return and find his wife was back. That is when all hell broke loose.

“They started quarrelling and then at around 4:30 in the morning, my sister decided to leave for our parent’s home in Phase Two, but when my sister had just started driving the car away, her husband caught up with us, opened the car door and pulled her out,” Linda’s sister, Dianna Irungu said.

After pulling her sister out of the car, she alleged, Mr Odhiambo, who is a licensed firearm owner pulled his gun and hit her at the back of her head severally, sending her tumbling to the ground.

“As she lay on the ground just outside the gate to their house, he kept kicking her and even fired at her despite my constant pleas that he lets her go. I called my brothers when he did not stop assaulting her,” she said. From - Nairobi News
