I’d like this blog to include serious entrepreneurs from all over the world discussing business opportunities, ideas, and ways to access capital whether your a start-up or experienced business person looking to expand. Topics are not limited, but personally I enjoy brainstorming on coffee export as we have the best coffee, and IT ventures. Presently working on an App and site called iBuild its under my copyright by the way, it will work somewhat like a kijiji but specifically for contractors, suppliers, and real estate to access the closest, and most economical means to construct, build or sell building supplies, and real estate e.g. masonry, flooring, electrochromatic glass, and roofing. I’ll implement this in Canada on a pilot test project by mid 2018, but intend to eventually be based in Nairobi.
Mtu kama mimi mwenye hana title deed wala log book anaezaje pata loan ya Ksh 1.5m? i’m in the processes of registering ‘afro printers & stationers’ i have found a source for my products,i really know and understand the market.
I know people with idle cash but they want to own more than 50% percent of my business. My goal is to be entirely self employemt
Maze 1.5M ni mob ukiwa pekee. Lakni hiyo biz inakuanga poa sana if you got customers. Hehe…I had thought of if one year ago but on further inquiry nkajua izo machines ni expe vinoma. Nevertheless, hiyo biz can earn ata 50k a day. Go for it mbloh and all the best. And for start-up, naesa pata ata ka ni 1/8 shares ivi ivi?
Take the money and give them the 50% but get it in contract that you can buy back shareholding with your profits. That way you structure the funding in terms of debt and equity.
Very true. Here is the thing, customers kwangu haitakua shida. I know the best ones to go for, they’ll be few but the money exchanging hands daily will be big. One is even encouraging me to go for it.
Kwanza nitaanza na stationery za bulk printing, then proceed to print press after a few years. It is true the machines aint cheap
Shares acha tuangalie nikihitaji ku-expand. I can keep you posted
This is a very smart idea, I’ve been looking for a contractor for a renovation project and lawd knows how hard it’s been since the last one screwed me up. May be you can even have an accreditation process for suppliers similar to how the better business bureau (BBB) works in Canada or google ratings.
Nimetoka kumona. we’ve agreed on 1.2m for 50% of the net profit. Next naenda kuifungulia account. I’m planning to be moving all the cash through my account first so that the bank sees i got cash flow to make it easier in future to get a business loan…
Good idea. I have been thinking in more or less the same direction. Thought of bringing together like-minded individuals and then brainstorming the way forward. See www.biztalk.co.ke (inspired by Ktalk, I must give credit). But it’s entirely for biz discussions. Haven’t taken off yet, but have some serious members. I would wish to get member’s feedback for improvement.
