business

Business is overly romanticised. Most businesses fail. And even when they succeed the owner has to work unholy hours to get it to be stable.

The truth of the matter is that the vast majority of financially secure people get that way by getting a job with a good employer, being good at it … Statistics.others are conmen and women stealing and pretending to be business people

I have never really looked for a job in Kenya. But I imagine it might be easier than building a successful business … (If your psychology can allow it - mine is messed up!)

You have a point there especially because of the many shortcuts available and used by many so-called business people. If you believe in ethics and 100% compliance to all laws of the land, do not do your business in Kenya as these will be your achilles heel. But if you can make some cash in your employment, then you can invest in shares and stocks and real estate. Businesses in Kenya are messed up because even the regulators are keen to see you break all their regulations and then pounce on you like hungry lions to extort cash from you and possibly destroy you… A case in point is KRA officers, KEBS, etc… it is not easy a such

those jobs you are talking about are people’s businesses.

I would agree that there are some stereotypes regarding business people. They are presented as sort of man in black suits making some huge money. However, in reality it is very hard job to step into market and the most hardest is to stay on the market for a long time
