I have just run out of gas today, after almost one and a half years, only to realize that no gas vendor that I have contacts of, has a caltex gas cylinder and they’re unable to guide me further.
Does anyone know if the Caltex gas cylinder refills are available in the market at all, and where to find them?
I also called Total to see if I could purchase a new gas cylinder from them and they said that they are only refilling at the moment.
Is there a shortage of gas cylinders?

I doubt that. I think the market was liberalized. However I’d advise for your own safety to move to safegas.
Exchange pool was abolished . Hio pengine ujaziwe Kwa illegal refillers . Caltex exited the market over 10 years ago .

There are lots of knockoff brands that accept any gas cylinder.
Badilisha na total ama afrigas. Ukichukua hizi zingine baadaye hiyo mtungi haiwes kibaliwa na major company.
Total and other gas vendors will not accept the caltex cylinder. I spoke to 4 different contacts today. Total are also not selling new cylinders (in my area anyway). I will try other stations tomorrow to purchase a new cylinder. Thank you all.
