Can someone explain

I don’t understand one thing with these Samsung accredited repair centres. I had a Galaxy j5 pro with a broken screen. They quoted 15500 kureplace. I took it to hawa fundi wa Tom Mboya and it was replaced at 7000/=. The phone has been working clean with no screen defects after the replacement.
My question is, what’s the difference between the two shops? The screen looks genuine with the same display as others not yet replaced. Are Samsung shops a rip off ama?

That’s a strategy they use to try and force you to buy a new phone.

7000 uligongwa bado…

Ungepelekea @Macharia wa kamau

Never ever take your phone to an official dealer. Kenya is a very fucked nation, a man eat man society those mofos know that they are trusted by Kenyans so they take advantage and hike their prices. Ata kwa Carlcare pia utasumbuliwa ati hii screen imescratch lazma we change it. Kama ni battery unaambiwa ati motherboard. Of course many fall for their trick. I’ve seen it happen couple of times. Peleka fundi wa kawaida but uweke jiko kali usiswappiwe phone

Of late, I prefer to ship in spare parts from Aliexpress then watch youtube tutorials on repairs. I borrow tools from those fundis I think that’s the best option if you have time and you are looking to learn.

Bei poa ni ngapi? Kuna OPPO A3 and Huawei Y6 with cracked screens

7k ni bei ya kuchange motherboard… 3500 ndio bei

sometime when Samsung had the monopoly of the phone industry, i took my phone for repair. Ile quortation niliambiwa was almost 25K. Afterwards niliona one of the thier fundi kando and i spend so little almost a quarter of the price. Then akaniwekea motherboard mpya

How long dies aliexpress take to ship to Kenya?

Ningekuwekea na 3800/=

Woiii sikujua

For me it was a Galaxy S8 plus. Went to Samsung to change the screen, the glass was broken. Quote nilipewa ni 25k… weh. Asked around and found out some guys in tao can just remove the broken glass pekee yake and put a new glass as long as your touch is working and good thing is you get to keep your original quality display. And I ended up paying around 8k pekee yake. Never been so happy bana. Toka hiyo siku I always send my friends huko.

2 weeks

Dealers huwa expensive saa zote. Mimi hutafuta ile place nitapata kitu genuine, but away from the official dealer. Vitu zote.

cheap is expensive, your screen will start to fukc up in a few months then you’ll be forced to take it back to luthuli and cough up another 7k.

This is the 3rd month sijui which month unasema

@Macharia wa kamau Are you able to get a Motorolla X pure edition screen. kama hii screen

Mine is broken and no success in getting it in the last 4 years. Broke within 3 months of purchase. I imported a screen and discovered it broke during handling (shipping or delivery)

It’s expensive coz they pay a higher rent price plus workers.

most likely your screen was replaced with an LCD display insted of the original AMOLED one
