Yes you can but it should be within the chipset allowed CPU s and obviously cpu socket should be matching and advisable to be with The same power ratings( e.g you can replace an i3 35W with i5 35 W ) Now I have been able to replace a dell Inspiron N5110 intel chipset (HM 67) i3-2430M 2.3 GHz with an i5-2410M 2.6 GHz processor and I even have an option of testing later on an i7-2760QM which is supported by the same motherboard which however is 45W which will require a high power charger and will probably be abit warmer for the same heatsink.

Pole. Mimi at worst napeleka only the spoilt part. I took my motherboard with a shorted MOSFET on 5/3 v power supply luckily I had removed ram ssd and the screen and left them at home. I forgot to remove the CPU. The guy removes the MOSFET and the driver chip(in the process damages several pads) and he doesn’t replace the driver claiming that it is for WiFi card based on his analysis. kwanza hana soldering iron nzuri ako na ile multi-purpose one… Inshort alichoma my CPU and almost every power supply ya my motherboard. That turned it into scrap. I had to buy another second hand motherboard and CPU and replace it on my own.
