I disagree. True it was a close fight and many times GGG rocked Canelo with heavy shots, but Canelo was walking him down throughout the fight. If you are the defending champion you don’t win by fighting on your back foot for 12 rounds. Did you see those body shots by Canelo? they almost lifted the guy off the canvas! Canelo was stronger and he bullied Triple G. Just look at their faces at the end of the fight and make your judgement.
Yes there were lots of body shots but GGG negated them in the last 4 rounds. He looked unphased. And GGG landed twice the number of punches. And looks like he played a strategic game pretending to be on the defence. Its true that to beat the world champion, you have to just knock him out. They will never give you the victory if you dont. 2 judges scored 114-114. One had 116-114. That was the killer.
There’ll be # 3 and everybody will make buku bucks. GGG wins and there’s no # 3. Boxing is a farce.
