Chebukati and Co.

Chebukati, his commissioners and the secretariat must go!!

How can he disown his team yet he was their leader? How come the documentation used was not consistent across the various constituencies? Was this a deliberate act setting stage for a fallback position for the opposition in the event they lost?

Wote waende nyumbani na si tafadhali!!

He argued like Waiguru did. Maybe he hopes for a similar fate.

The Secretariat failed Kenyans. Obviously Chebukati did not bring with him a fresh team. The rot of insolence, ineptitude and inertia has been long in the hallways of the electoral body. It’s like appointing a new IG expecting the cop on the beat won’t take a bribe.

Chebukati ni mluhya mjinga sana.

did they have the time? Even if they go now. Whoever comes in will he/she have time to create his team in 50 days?

Tell me on what basis should Chebukati and co. leave?we are also aggrieved by the Maraga and co. judgement,if you are aggrieved by the conduct of Chebukati and co.then it is only fair that the same standards of treatment should hold.

Nope, It was IEBC, the judges did not qualify their decision! And then what happens if NASA loses next time? they will claim that this is the same IEBC that has rigged them out.

Some of the inconsistencies are just inexcusable, how do you have differently printed documentation?

Why were forms not uniform? from which constituencies? or did ROs use the forms that were meant for training to fill in the official results? It does not make sense not to have uniformity in jus 290 forms. This was sabotage within IEBC.

Still, that does not affect the will of the voters. Were the stones used in Gambia election uniform in shape?

This is what I am saying. The petitioners were very specific, they did not challenge the validity of the numbers but mainly documentation and transmission.

Will nasa demand chebukati and chiloba to go? I think they will not because of Bukusu votes, which they need

Hehe…it would be wrong to be ejecting judges simply because they ruled against the government wish. We would be creating a banana republic, where judges musy adhere to what the president wants. One thing is clear, that there is independence of judiciary in Kenya. So Raila or anyone will have no business crying all over when the court rules against him like he has done before. I think it was a win for Kenya.

But Raila said in mombasa the other day that courts will be influenced by government and that going to court was not their last option. So courts are independent if they rule against the people in government but compromised if they rule against the opposition?

Strange how events turn out… locally, UK lost the petition but internationally Kenyan’s have come up on top and Uhuru is receiving accolades for accepting the SC ruling, (anyway it’s not like he had a different option ) others are even hailing him as the father of democracy in Africa. For instance Tz is dumbstruck and are asking their govt to follow the Kenyan example

No, not as such. Logic tells me that someone in power can easily influence the courts decisions than someone who is not in power. The opposition could infuence, but then again, under what effects?
