Church Business

When thinking of businesses to open, talkers rarely consider opening a church. Though I’m non-religious, I find the concept of a church interesting from a business perspective. Anyone with an idea of how I can go about opening one. I’m not a good preacher so I expect to employ a charismatic pastor to do the job.

enda uulize pastor nganga wa neno evangelism.with good money ata anaeza kukupatia some redudant members

Getting a congregation ndio shida

Religion is a calling, and you have to be the pastor for your church to grow, otherwise your hired charismatic pastor will run away with your church members.

Those are positive unintended consequences and I won’t mind taking full advantage of them as they come.

Church is a business…with all the perks a king enjoys… Just look at your pastor and see what I mean…

Supose I have 100 members and each pays an average of KES 3,000, that gives me a cool 300k per month and if I’m lucky enough, I may invite the chief hustler for a fundraiser.

some of Kenya’s richest pastors started their churches in the 80s and 90s.

In Rwanda, Kagame won’t let you open a church without a Theology degree.

Halafu tithe and offerings are exempt from tax. A wonderful vehicle to help with dodging some taxes. Uko na kabiashara kando sunday unaitumbukiza pale kwa offerings box.

Why does he control spiritual matters?

In Kenya, we have Motivational speakers with the gift of speech masquerading as Bishops (Self titled), leaving earthly lives (golfing, nyama choma, incestous road trips etc) during the week and dorn the holy garb and become saints on weekends.
Nganga hit and killed 2 people and denies that it happened, some “bishop” was recently taken to court for child support, Helicopter ministries is a baller out here, The Kyunas go golfing in SatAfrika whenever they feel like while junior pastors run the church etc.
Kagame is right, They should stick it out in theology school and learn bible teachings inside out.

I think charisma rather than formal education is the most important skill in preaching. After all, your job is to give the congregant false hopes of material success and going to a nonexistent heaven. It is a business like any other and social skills are critical.

Spiritual business are very commercial businesses. VAT exempt as well.
