What are you talking bout?? That album is lit

Snoop & Eminem saved the album! Track 2 made it to billboards panel! This thing aint legit like dre2000. Its just the name that is selling the album

To be honest it has also failed to grow on me and I have given it a couple of listens since Friday. I still can’t quite put a finger on it. Critics seem to be favourable on it though…

It isn’t an album. It’s a Soundtrack, a compilation of songs used in the movie

Yeah that album doesn’t have the touch of Dre we knew in 90’s. I think it’s because of the beats. Hizo zinakaa za crank hip hop. Only song that iko juu in that album is ‘One shot one kill’

Mboss, all the albums that came out this year? What are you comparing it to?

I gave it a listen and it was hapo tu. I’ll try it again kesho and see how it fairs. However, so far, there’s nothing as ground breaking as ‘Next Episode’ ama ‘Forgot about Dre’ was during it’s time(his last album).

hiphop has moved on. you cannot have a late 90s sound in a 2015 album/ song. even the chronic and 2001 had different sounds. some niccur told y’all hiphop is dead and y’all threw tantrums. move with the times. in 2030 y’all be sayin compton was a classic.
Compton for me is good. not dropdead classic but good. i particularly dig Talking to my Diary

We’re not asking for a 90’s sound. We’re asking to be wowed with something that feels as different as 2001 felt in '99.

i feel you but that may never happen. Detox was cancelled. some beats made it to this compton mishmash tho

This is what people don’t seem to get. The soundtracks in the movie are supposed to give an atmosphere of the 90’s hip-hop. I don’t know why people expect Dre (N.W.A) to sound like Drake or ASAP or Wiz.

Shiet.

My point, exactly. As a hiphop superproducer, what makes Dre’s releases so enchanting is how different they sound sonically when they come out, sounding refreshingly way ahead of their time. Sadly, he dropped the ball with this one. It lacks that uumph… that ‘je ne sais quoi.’ Think of that time you first heard 50 Cent’s ‘In Da Club.’ That’s how much Dre’s best shit has got to move you.

It’s not bad but then again it’s not all that… When you talk of Dre beats I hear Dre 2000 and up smoke tour… Nostalgic.

Listened to it.

Rating: 4/10

Best songs: Loose Cannons, One Shot One Kill, For the Love of Money, Medicine Man

Anyone care to rate Johnny Vigetti’s "Mr Vigetti’s album

I liked loose cannons, with Xzibit; talk about it, Genocide and Talking to my diary.
