Mwambie a format the whole machine, and any storage device he’s plugged into that machine after the infection. There’s nothing much he can do about it. Kila kitu imeenda ivo

Ransomware. You are ferked. I Tried recovering some files juzi for a client’s machine with that kind of infection unsuccessfully. Try using shadow explorer to retrieve the latest shadow copies of your files. Besides that, its a wrap. Don’t even think about paying the ransom.

Ngai fafa…losing all your projects is a real fuckment. How do you prevent this shit from happening again?

Alternatively you may try what Kaspersky offers as a fix. Just google kaspersky ransomware decrypter. May or may not work. Other options are available through Google. Jaribu before formatting the machine

Ho

How do I prevent this from happening?

Alaf just one partition is affected. Is there need to format everything yet?

The best solution. Make sure ‘hide known file extensions’ is disabled (in windows) that allows you to see what kind of file you’re downloading, and opening. Most malicious files look like your usual files with usual icons, eg pdf, word etc, but with extensions visible you’ll find them with .exe extensions (or any other suspicious ext); clear indicator you are about to open an executable file that will damage, takeover or do whatever its designed to do on ur machine…

Well, then the primary objective should be to neutralise the source of the problem ie the encryption program that’s slowly eating into the rest of the files. Then you can go ahead and try to do the recovery. On how to do all that…Google is your friend…

Nikimangana sipendi kelele mob ka hizi, siet jirani fekkin

To add onto what @123tokambio amesema, kuna basics muhimu:

  1. Back up your files regularly and keep a recent backup off-site (Get an external backup and keep updated copies of your most important data).
  2. Avoid Macros (In Ms Office) if you can.
  3. Unsolicited mail, chuja bila huruma
    Anti-virus muhimu.

Niliokota windows fulani kwa torrents inahitaji permissions kama zote ndio change yoyote ifanyike. Hata kuchange ama kuongeza devices inaitisha permission. Alafu natumia AVG on paranoid mode. File yoyote iko unclear ni kutandikwa kiboko hadi virus vault.

Never heard of such. Ikiniitisha permission ya kwanza naichuja haraka.
