Copy paste business

Biashara is all copy n paste , very little room for innovative minds nowadays…

Wenye pesa hawana ideas, but since zinawachoma mifuko inabidi waanze the first thing that comes to mind (usually kitu ameona jirani akido) hence proliferation kama mende of biz kama: Kinyozi, MPESA/Bank Agent/Electricals/Hardware?Salon/Kinyos/Gas supplier/Kulima kitunguu.
Wenye hawana pesa hata ndururu na hakuna creditor kuwagusa na hata 30ft pole wanakuwaga pale jaba base. Exceptional ideas but no one to link them na venture capitalists…
Kenya ina mashida mingi sana and you might be surprised zile creative/innovative solutions to the same ambazo should at least make it into incubation stage for viability testing lakini wapi. Several would be multi-billion dollar game changers. Watu wa STEM najua mnaelewa nini nasema.
Bitange Ndemo alisema pea Mkenya 1 mirrions uone nini atafungua enterprise. No surprise in the ‘enterprise’. See lines 1&2

Innovation pia ni expensive in terms of hard cash, time, na kukuna kisogo ajab. Above all inataka mtu ajitume kusoma technical sana. The average Kenyan anataka ku.cut corners asijipee shida miiiiingi kufikiria and wants to start earning Tomorrow sio 2025 which is kind of understandable.
ufiti wa high innovation inakua ni kinga in itself watu kufanya copy-paste. High barrier to entry ukijichongea market na innovation. Itabidi ni bazuu na serious pesa sana kuiga mchezo wako na itamchukua muda bado kufika upto speed, by then utakua ulikula poa being first in the market…

Innovation requires alot of Research and development and economies that take this approach grow at a maximum of 3% annually.
While economies that copy and paste can even achieve 20% anual growth.
Lakini si hi oupussy ya wakenya, copying what your neighbor is doing on a microeconomic scale.

The other problem is that our businesses and wealth disappear when we die. In Europe, you will see small companies in shags that have been in the same family for 150years. And those companies are high tec, manufacturing world standard products

I’m envious of Trumpf Machine Company in Germany, been family owned since the 1920s bana
