Corruption that shocked me.

The corruption that used to take place during kibakis time was mind boggling, ulikuwa unaenda mumias Kidero’s time to buy sugar unaambiwa all sugar in the stores and all sugar to be produced 5 months from now has been paid for, wekea huyu individual pesa akuuzie ile amelipa. Then cash ya watu wa ndani/factory management at around 300 per bag usisahau…kuna mtu anakuja kuchukua before you can load. Hakuna kuweka kwa account. Yaani if you decide to use normal means pesa yako inalala 5months before upate your one lorry of sugar.

Worse of was NCPB during Misoi’s tenure, some people were buy maize from the goverment parastatal using postdated personal cheques. (Ladies and gentlemen let that sink in) Yaani you load maize worth lets say 100M, unapatiana post dated cheques. Mill the maize, circulate the money for almost a year bora urudishe before audit ifanywe. Place ya store keeper inawachwa blank ndio ukirudisha pesa, anaandika thats the day you carried your maize. Talk of an interest free loan for a year.

That is why i commend kamwana in his efforts to fight corruption, hii ujinga huwezi fanya sahii. Enyewe tumetoka mbali.

Wadau ongezeni examples zingine of crazy corruption, sio ile simple ya kupea @pamba 50bob.

Bure kabisa…hizo corruption cases used to rarely involve billions…right now Uhuru eats 200B Eurobond loan for breakfast

toa hio second last paragraph.

Same monkeys different forests
Nowadays they just supply air and get paid! Build a multi billion railway line inaishia kwa shamba ya mtu, pay for construction contracts before works have been undertaken…

well, hakukuwa na arithmetic errors that get defined as errors only after being exposed

I’ve just given examples of corruption niliona na macho not heresay…kindly add yours.

It was evenly distributed sahii mtu mmoja anakula billions peke yake

You honestly believe Uhuru alikula 200B?

Just imagine what will happen if ruto becomes president ? … just let that sink in !

They bought maize from.the cartels during the last farming season leaving farmers holding millions of bags they had nowhere to sell.
You remember Uhuru breathing fire and threatening Kiunjuri to try and pay the cartels again and he will see dust.
Well, everyone knows that’s all Uhuru is good at, threaten but nothing else, a toothless noisy barking dog.
Now Kiunjuri is back at it again.
He wants to import maize while farmers and politicians from the maize growing areas say they hold sufficient stock if only the government could offer a half decent price per bag.
The things that happen in Kenya literally make one sick.

Naambia watu waseme of corruption they experienced not heresay. @dabu in trucking and @Meria Mata can attest we used to carry normal loads of 60tonnes. Yaani from an allowed 32tonnes unabeba double. (Trailers then were 4 axles) Ukienda mombasa hakuna kazi ya capacity loads. Lazima ubebe excess upende usipende. Roads were being made 3 months later hakuna kitu ni mashimo tu. Anyway kenya has changed.

Hii ya reducing axles and overloading stopped during Kibaki’s time?
@Meria Mata kana tiguo?

Ndio maana mimi husema siwezi lia ati watu wanakula coz all of us have a corrupt bone in us. Ni vile hatujapata nyafasi ya kula pesa nono. Otherwise ka petty cash pale kwa ofisi for those in employment, for those in business kuna vile muhindi hakupatii the real receipt, anakupea kengine hapo ndio akuuzie vitu less 30%

But you have to agree with me that things have changed for the better. During moi’s time I remember some meru businessman who paid someone else to serve his 2yr jail term at kingongo maximum prison in Nyeri chini ya maji. Complete with a fake ID aitike rollcall tu. Yaani tulifunga shule nauliza mzazi kwani fulani aliachiliwa? Nikaambiwa alilipa kijana ya fulani amweendee jela.:D:D:D:D:D Jaribu hivyo sahii.

I don’t think so. It’s only that we are now more informed when corruption happens but there is nothing we can do about it. For example, kina @pamba wanachukua 50/= openly. They no longer pretend to check the insurance sticker or the driver’s license. Yao ni kuchukua fifty wakiendanga. And what do we do as commuters? Nothing! Infact, when the makanga doesn’t have 50/= note, utaskia akiuliza nani ako na fifty, and all of us in the vehicle will try to outdo each other tupatie makanga pesa ya kuhongana.
So, good Sir, it hasn’t changed, it has become worse coz we feel helpless. But one day, something will have to give.

Brainless Thurakus detected…ofcourse king is naked hawataki kumwaambia ukweli
Someni hii article how kenya currently loses 1Trillion kshs per year to corruption and you are here quoting some 100M during kibakis time

https://www.standardmedia.co.ke/article/2001305596/the-shame-of-sh1-trillion-queried-yearly-by-auditor

You think Jaguar was locked up at Kileleshwa police station? Jamaa analala nyumbani

Muhindi flani in Kisumu has a coffee shop and cyber cafe/mobile phone outlet under one roof. So when buying a phone/phone accessory he gives you a receipt of say 20k (or value of the phone)…but…ni receipt from side ya Coffee shop where he only pays 1% catering levy.

The only difference with what is happening now is that the tactics have changed. Money is still being looted and we cannot just say that public statements are doing all the work… Let the people be put in front of the law, not just those looting but even those facilitating the said thievery.

Fake news…ukinyimwa tender ya SGR, Lamu port, freeway construction etc…enda nyumbani ulie ulale uki reminisce the good old kibaki days.
Kila siku chinese this ruto that, mahindi, maembe, nyama sodium…

Let the govt work…
