Lueck got off her flight from California at 2:09 a.m. and got into the Lyft ride at 2:40 a.m., Doubt said. She did not appear to speak with anyone at the airport before getting in the car.
After investigators interviewed Lueck’s Lyft driver, police said the driver is “not a suspect at this time.” Lyft told TODAY on Monday that the driver continued to give rides immediately after dropping off Lueck and that “no irregularities” were found regarding the trip.

Lueck was last seen taking a Lyft ride from the airport to an address in North Salt Lake, police told TODAY Monday. She was reported missing June 20.

A person allegedly picked up Lueck at Hatch Park in North Salt Lake after she was dropped off by her Lyft driver, but police have not been able to determine whether the second driver was a man or woman, or confirm the make and model of the second vehicle, Doubt said.

Police executed a search warrant Wednesday at the home of a man they consider a “person of interest” in the case of missing University of Utah student Mackenzie Lueck.
The homeowner was not in custody and had spoken with detectives, Salt Lake City Police Chief Mike Brown said Thursday at a news conference. He declined to name the owner of the home in the city’s Fairpark neighborhood or to say how cooperative he had been.
Detectives collected several pieces of evidence from the home and are testing them, Brown said. Police also are searching for a mattress and box spring they say were given away from the home last week and could be related to Lueck’s disappearance.

We are looking to find this mattress as well as a box spring in relation to this case. These items were possibly given away from 547 N. 1000 W. If you picked up these items please contact us at 801-799-3000 #MackenzieLueck #missingperson

Online court and property records show Ajayi, who was divorced this year, had no criminal record. His home, where police found evidence Wednesday and Thursday, was 5 miles from the park where Lueck was last seen.
Police say Lueck was killed in the early morning hours of June 17. It is not yet clear why Lueck was meeting Ajayi or if the two had any prior relationship, however, police said they had communicated electronically the day before she disappeared.
