Am referring to that story of a Rwandese woman who went through hell before moving to a refugee camp here in .ke. Story iko hapa for those who missed.

It is one story that moved me to tears. It has been on my mind ever since then, na kusema tu ukweli, I think the author exaggerated on the extent of the tribulations.

Hebu tuichambue pamoja.
  1. The lady was raped countless times by countless men over a period of time. Mbona hakushika ball? Na alipofika kwa camp, first thing she did was to get married, na pg pap. Asyiii!
  2. She was forced to boil her baby, who miraculously survived just as the water was beginning to boil (literally, nìgatigìtie itherùka rìmwe, for Greeks). How possible is it to survive in water at 80 degrees even for a minute? And a sickly kid for that matter?
  3. And how comes the above kid didn't drown kwa hio sufuria? Ama walitaka kumkula dry-boil?
  4. That girl who was brought and roasted over a fire- mbona hawakumchinja kwanza? Chef @Gio will tell you that the first step in roasting a carcass is to de-shit it. They roasted the girl with her shit intact. Who does that?
  5. The lady was on various occasions wishing she would just die. She was a cook with access to fire. Mbona hakujiua na hio moto?
  6. How they escaped- the bad guys got drunk over Christmas and blacked out. All of them. How careless could they be? Haven't I seen this in some movie somewhere?
  7. A 12-day trek in the jungle, with a half-boiled kid whose skin is peeling off. Feeding on wild leaves. And the kid survived. How now?
Am not disputing terrible things happened there. All am saying is that the chef didn't put the correct proportion for salt.

Mai-Mai dragged one of the two male pastors out of the house and shot him in the head as her three children screamed and her husband begged them to stop.


So how many pastors were they ama alifufuka??


Together with her two children and two pastors and carrying her one-year old on her back, they set off in a long file behind five or so Mai-Mai men into the expectant darkness of the looming forest.

In read that story in Biko's forum and let me say it has given me nightmares. I think Biko wanted to cut a message across on how tribalism can bring along issues. He did another story years earlier on how he was treated when he went to pay dowry for his Okuyu wife.

That's the effect the writer wanted to elicit from readers. From yours and other people reactions, I think he succeeded.

The story is hugely exaggerated. The woman might have added salt but Biko should have noticed and seeked clarification instead of writing it raw

Ule 12 year old girl walileta kwa kijiji mbona hawaku maintain kama sex slave instead of ku roast . kama ni ku roast they already had three kids in the caamp .

Mama hawezi boil mtoto wake alive when she has options , options meaning stabbing the kid to death before boiling her and also huwezi simama in a boiling pot without fainting
