I have a axio 2010 and intend to change the cvt oil (TC). i have seen toyota cvt fluid and aisin cvt fluid in the market. Has anyone ever changed the oil and put in Aisin cvt fluid. Did it work well. I have 110K kilometres so i believe i should have changed it a while back.
Aisin is Toyota’s transmission house .Make sure you get Aisin CFeX from Toyotsu .It costs Ksh 3600 - 4 litre can.

Sealed transmissions have two bolts on the side of the trans. Fungua both of them and drain the fluid. funga bolt ya chini, for now. Measure how much fluid was collected and refill with the fresh fluid in same amount. funga top bolt. Some mecs just refill the fluid till it starts leaking from ile bolt ya juu
Why not get your cvt fluid from toyota kenya instead of experimenting? The price is in the range of KES4k and you will be sure of what you are buying
I share your sediments. Juzi someone needed ATF ya her Toy. Called Toyota Kenya just to see how much they would sell 4T for. To my suprise found out that it retails for 3500/ or there abouts. Go for the legit thing.

ATF+ is for use in automatic gearbox and costs 3100 at Toyotsu .
CFeX is for use with CVT gearbox and costs 3600 - Toyotsu .
Drain and refill depends with driving conditions - city driving or highway .
Most CVTs require TCM relearn procedure otherwise you will experience jerk

TCM - Transmission Control Module , this is a “computer” that controls your gearbox .On CVT when you disconnect the battery or refill the gearbox you have to run this procedure . Some vehicle for instance Honda , you can perform this by looking for a flat ground accelerate to 80KPH then get your foot off the accelerator and let the car decelerate to 0 KPH without touching the brakes .

In some situations full drain and refill ni tricky. Especially kama oil imekaa sana. New oil sometimes kills the transmission. what I would recommend is extract just a quart and add a fresh quart. After 3 months fanya tena. By end of 12 months you. can safetly do a full drain and refill
Wewe na Makonika hamjibu swali yangu. Assuming nimeeeka gearbox na oil mpya ingine leo. After how many months/Km will I need to consider changing the oil. Lets assume gari tu ni ya tao haiendi mashambani.

Wengine usema 60kms…Toyota kenya Kisumu walinisho nichange CVT gearbox oil after 80kms…iyo ni 8yrs:D
