Hi guys, any know where I can get CVT gear oil for a Mitsubishi? J-1 type for a 2008 Mitsubishi passenger car
didn know there were special oils for special cars…and is it oil or fluid?
CVT oil for CVT gearbox…ni different na ATF ya auto gearbox…totally different…na nikama u have to get specific ya manufacturer…Am sure Simba colt watauza bei ingine wazimu
so have you asked simba colt?
Bado, talked to some garage in inda they told me 12k for 5 liter gallon…
I’d advise you to walk around inda, kirinyaga road as well.
the 12k will reduce to 7 or 6.
walking helped me a lot.
now i don’t know where to get this, but Lacheka may have
@macho for a that one you better not mess around buy straight from the manufacturer no matter what the cost is.
These off market ones cant handle the heat when the gearbox is running.
Thanks @noctrine …manual says manufacturer recommended oil…will have to go round with the specification sheet…to get the oil or equivalent
@macho you will only find it at simba colt. Last year i bought it at 7,500 for 5litres. They dont sell in smaller quantities…
Kumbe you already have a solution
Na ukienda petro station kama shell ama hawana. Me I thought you only need to go there and your done. Ni magari gani yanatumia CVT, na iko natofauti gani na ATF?
Check Inbox.
You’re lucky you walked around this village
If you don’t want to buy a new gearbox, just kaza mshipi kanyaga Simba Colt and buy the legit one.
Viscosity, coeffecent of friction and EHL or traction. CVT transmission is different from auto in that it uses pullies and metal chains and the oil has to slow down wear and tear of the chain/pullies
So a car with both auto and manual uses both fluids ama?
A car can only have either manual, semi auto, auto or CVT transmission so it’ll use only one type of fluid depending on transmission
What of a car like toyota wish it has both auto and manual, which fluid does it use
